Oxycline

[Antibiotics & Chemotherapy] 
Each 1 Kg contains 60mg(potency) of Oxytetracycline HCl

 

Composition

Each Kg contains

Oxytetracycline HCl................................................... 60 g (as Oxytetracycline)

 

Indication

 

For the treatment of following diseases caused by pathogenic bacteria susceptible to Oxytetracycline.

A.        Cattle: Colibacillosis (Escherichia coli), Pneumonic Pasteurellosis (Pasteurella multocida)

B.        Swine: Colibacillosis (Escherichia coli), Salmonellasis (Salmonella choleraesuis), Pneumonic Pasteurellosis (Pasteurella multocida), leptospirosis (Leptospira interrogans serovar Pomona)

C.        Chickens: Mycoplasmal joint synovitis (Mycoplasma synoviae), Chronic respiratory disease

(Mycoplasma gallisepticum), Avian Colibacillosis (E. coli) and Avian cholera (Pasteurella multocida)

 

Dosage & Administration

A.        Cattle, Swine

Administer 3.7g (as 22 mg of Oxytetracycline /Kg) of this drug diluted with of drinking water

per 10 Kg of body weight for 7- 14days.

B.        Chickens

Mycoplasmal joint synovitis: Administer 0.9~1.8g (as 52.6~105.3mg of Oxytetracycline /Kg) of this drug diluted with per l L of drinking water for 7- 14days

Chronic respiratory disease, Avian Colibacillosis, Avian cholera: Administer 1.8~3.5g (as 105.3~210.5mg of Oxytetracycline /Kg) of this drug diluted with per l L of drinking water for 7- 14days

Storage and expiry date

1) Store in an airtight container at room temperature (1~30¡É) protect from light.

2) 24 months from date of manufacture

 

Precaution

A.        Do not administer to the following animal.

Do not use for animals with shock and hypersensitive response to this drug and penicillin.

Do not use for animals with severe kidney dysfunction and liver dysfunction.

B.        Side effects

-          Light sensitive skin reactions may occur during this administration.

-          Gastrointestinal disorders such as vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea may occur at high dose or long term administration.

-          Skeletal growth disorders may occur at high doses or long term administration of tetracycline drugs.

-          Discoloration of teeth and bones may occur at long term administration to young animals.

-          High doses or long term administration of tetracycline drugs may bring about excess growth of bacteria and fungi insusceptible to tetracycline.

C.        Interaction

-            Do not administer with cephalosporins, penicillins, and other tetracycline antibiotics.

-            The absorption of doxycycline may be reduced at co-administration with the formulation containing

antacids, kaolin, iron, magnesium, aluminum, calcium ions.

D.        Administration for pregnant, lactating, newborn, weanling and debilitating animals

Do not administer to laying chickens and milking cow

E.        Usage note

When administering by mixing with feed or drinking water, mix homogeneously to prevent from drug accident and to achieve its efficacy.

F.         Withdrawal period

Cattle, Swine, Chicken: 5 days

G.        Precaution on storage

-          Store in a place where out of reach of children with observance of preservation guideline to prevent safety

accidents.

-          Since stability and effectiveness may be changed, observe the preservation instruction.

-          Dispose the expired products without using it.

-          Do not use used containers or wrapping paper for other purposes and discard it safely.

H.       Other Precaution

1. It is for animal use, so never use it for human.

2. Consult with your veterinarian.

3. Use Use after reading the instruction notes sufficiently

4. Since safety and effectiveness other than the designated animal has not been established, do not use it

Arbitrarily.

5. Record all usage history for prevention of abuse and tolerance appearance.

6. Abuse and misuse may bring about economic loss such as drug accidents and remaining animal food

residues, observe the dosage & administration.

7. Do not administer with drugs containing the same ingredients concurrently.

8. If you are not in compliance with Withdrawal period, that may bring about remaining drugs in animal

foods, so accurately calculate and comply with withdrawal period after calculation time.

9. Wear gloves, masks, protective equipment during handling to avoid skin contact and inhalation.

10. Consult with doctor as soon as abnormality is found.
