Description
Tylosin is a macrolid e antibiotic with a bacteriostatic action against mainly Gram- positive bacteria,
Campylobacter, Mycoplasma, Pastenrella,
Staphylococcus. Streptococcus and Serpulinespp. Sulfamethazine blocks the use of para-aminobenzoic acid,
which is essential for the multiplication of the germ: this effects the synthesis of hydro folic acid and stops the growth
of the infection and permits to the natural body to overcome the infectious state.
Indication
For treatment and prevention of the following diseases caused by pathogenic bacteria susceptible to Tylosin
and Sulfamethazine
A. Swine
Atrophic rhinitis, growth maintenance on infection of atrophic rhinitis and improvement of feed efficiency.
Prevention of atrophic rhinitis (Bordetella bronchiseptica, Pasteurella multocida).
Prevention and treatment of Proliferative ileitis (Lawsonia intracellulais)
Treatment of bacterial pneumonia (Pasteurella multocida, Actinomyces pyogens)
Dosage & Administration
Prevention of Atrophic rhinitis: Administer orally 1.1 Kg mixed uniformly with per ton of feed for consecutive
28 days
Prevention and treatment of Proliferative ileitis: Administer orally 1.1 Kg mixed uniformly with per ton of feed
for consecutive 21 days
Treatment of bacterial pneumonia: Administer orally 1.1 Kg mixed uniformly with per ton of feed for
consecutive 21 days

Storage and expiry date
1) Store in an airtight container at dry room temperature (1 to 30o C) protected from light.
2) 24 months from date of manufacture
Precaution
Do not administer to the following animal.
A. Do not use for animals with shock and hypersensitive response to this drug.
B. Side effect
① Tylosin of this drug may induce edema of rectum rectal edema and diarrhea of swine, partial anal hernia etc.
② Sulfamethazine of this drug may induce urinary system disorders such as crystalluria, hematuria and obstructive uropathy.
③ Sulfamethazine of this drug may induce skin rash and hypersensitive response.
④ Sulfamethazine of this drug may induce anemia, leucopenia and thrombocytopenia at long-term administration
C. Interaction
① Do not administer with cephalosporins, penicillins, and other tetracycline antibiotics.
② When administering by mixing with feed or drinking water, mix homogeneously to prevent from drug ccident and to achieve its efficacy.
D. Usage note

E. Withdrawal period
Swine: 15 days
F. Precaution on storage
1. Store in a place where out of reach of children and animal to prevent safety accidents.
2. Observe the preservation instruction since it may bring about a change in effectiveness and stability.
3. Dispose the expired products without using it.
4. Use as soon as possible after opening, the rest of it should be sealed in the original packaging container and store in a dry place protected from light.
5. Do not use used containers or wrapping paper for other purposes and discard it safely.
