Each 1 Kg contains 100mg (Potency) of Amoxicillin Trihydrate, q.s. of Glucose and Lactose Hydrate.

Description

 

Amoxicillin is a semi-synthetic penicillin possessing a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity.

It acts bactericidal against a number of Gram positive and negative microorganism,

particularly against E. coli, Streptococcus spp., Pasteurella spp. salmonella spp.

Bordetella bronchiceptica, Staphylococcus and others.

 

Indication

 

Treatment of the disease caused by the following micro-organism susceptible to amoxicillin;

Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Pasteurella spp., Escherichia coli, Hemophilus spp.,

Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae.

1.       Calf (less than 5 months old): pneumonia, diarrhea caused by Escherichia coli

2.       Swine: pneumonia, diarrhea caused by Escherichia coli

Dosage & Administration

The following dosage is mixed with feed or drinking water and orally administer once or twice a day.

(However, do not take more than 5 days)

Storage and expiry date
1) Store in an airtight container at dry room temperature (1 to 30o C) protected from light.
2) 24 months from date of manufacture


Precaution
A. Do not use for animals with shock and hypersensitive response to this drug.
B. Side effect
1. Penicillin antibiotics may cause diarrhea by inhibiting the intestinal normal bacterial flora and bring
   about abdominal pain by gastroenteritis or colitis, digestive system abnormalities such as anorexia,
   watery diarrhea or hemafecia, nausea and vomiting and etc.
2. Penicillin antibiotics may induce nervous system abnormalities such as convulsions and seizures and
    hepatotoxicity when overdosing
C. Interaction
1. Do not administer with macrolide (erythromycin), aminoglycoside, chloramphenicol, and tetracycline antibiotics.
2. Gentamicin, bromelain and probenecid may increase the efficacy of this drug.
D. Administration for pregnant, lactating, newborn, weanling and debilitating animals
    Do not administer to laying chickens
E. Usage note

1. When administering by mixing with feed or drinking water, mix homogeneously to prevent from drug accident and to achieve its efficacy.
2. Withdrawal period
    Cattle: 10 days
    Swine: 10 days

F. Precaution on storage

¨ç To prevent safety accidents, keep out of reach of children and an animal.

¨è Observe the preservation instruction since it may bring about a change in effectiveness and stability.

¨é Dispose the expired products without using it.

¨ê Use as soon as possible after opening, the rest of it should be sealed in the original packaging container
    and store in a dry place protected from light.

¨ë Do not use used containers or wrapping paper for other purposes and discard it safely.

¨ì Keep out of reach of the children.
G. Other Precaution

¨ç It is for animal use, so never use it for human.

¨è Consult with your veterinarian.

¨é Use after reading the precaution note.

¨ê Since safety and effectiveness other than the designated animal has not been established, do not use it
arbitrarily

¨ë Record all usage history for prevention of abuse and tolerance appearance

¨ì Abuse and misuse may bring about economic loss such as drug accidents and remaining animal food residues, observe the dosage & administration.

¨í Abuse and misuse may bring about economic loss such as drug accident, so do not administer with drugs containing the same ingredients concurrently.

¨î Do not administer it with the drug contains same ingredients concurrently.
¨ï If you are not in compliance with withdrawal period, that may bring about remaining drugs in animal foods, so accurately calculate and comply with   

     withdrawal period after calculation time

¨ð Wear gloves, masks, protective equipment during handling to avoid skin contact and inhalation.

¨ñ Consult  with doctor as soon as abnormality is found. ¨ò When administering by mixing with feed or drinking water, mix homogeneously to prevent
