AMPICOLIS PLUS

[Antibiotics & Chemotherapy] 

 

Composition

Each Kg contains

Ampicillin Hydrate........................................................... 200 g (Act)

Colistin Sulfate................................................... 500,000,000IU(Act)

 

Indication

For the treatment of caused by pathogenic-bacteria susceptible to Ampicillin and Colistin

in calf, swine and poultry.

A.       Calf: Colibacillosis (Escherichia coli), Pneumonic Pasteurellosis (Pasteurella multocida)

B.        Swine: Colibacillosis (Escherichia coli), Pneumonic Pasteurellosis (Pasteurella multocida),

Pleural pneumonia (Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae), Staphylococcosis (Staphylococcus aureus)

C.        Chickens: Colibacillosis (Escheridhia coli), Staphylococcosis (Staphylococcus aureus)

 

Dosage

Calves, Swine and Chickens

A.       Administer 0.25g of this drug diluted with per L of drinking water for 5 days.

B.        Administer 0.5g of this drug mixed with per ton of feed for 5 days.

Storage and expiry date

1) Store in an airtight container at room temperature (8-15¡É) protected from light.

(Store at 2-8 ¡Æ C after opened.)

2) 24 months from date of manufacture

 

 

Precaution

A.       Do not administer to the following animal.

Do not use for animals with shock and hypersensitive response to this drug and penicillin.

B.     Side effects

-        Penicillin antibiotics may cause diarrhea by inhibiting the intestinal normal bacterial flora and bring about

         abdominal pain by gastroenteritis  digestive system abnormalities such as anorexia, watery diarrhea or hemafecia, nausea and vomiting

         and etc.

-          Overdosing penicillin may induce nervous system abnormalities such as convulsions and seizures and hepatotoxicity.

-          High dose of Colistin (more than 600 mg) may induce nervous system abnormalities such as convulsions and seizures and hepatotoxicity.

-          Long term administration may bring about excess growth of microorganisms such as Proteus spp. insusceptible to this drug.

A.       Interaction

-            Do not administer with concurrently for more than 5 days.

-            Do not administer with macrolide (erythromycin), aminoglycoside, chloramphenicol, and tetracycline class of antibiotics concurrently.

-            Gentamicin, bromelain and probenecid may increase its the efficacy.

B.        Treatment at overdosing

-            Hypersensitivity reaction with this drug is observed, administration is discontinued immediately

C.        Administration for pregnant, lactating, newborn, weanling and debilitating animals

Do not administer to laying chickens and milking cow.

D.       General precaution

-          Do not administer continuously for more than 5 days.

E.        Treatment at overdosing

When hypersensitivity reaction with this drug is observed, administration is discontinued immediately, and

take immediately shock treatment as instructed by the veterinarian

.

F.        Withdrawal time:

         Cattle, Pig, chicken: 7 days

 

 

A.       Precaution on Storage

1.       Store in a place where out of reach of children and animal to prevent safety accidents. 

2.       Observe the preservation instruction since it may bring about a change in effectiveness and stability.

3.       Dispose the expired products without using it.

4.       Use as soon as possible after opening, the rest of it should be sealed in the original packaging container and store in a dry place protect from light.

5.       Do not use used containers or wrapping paper for other purposes and discard it safely.

G.      Other Precaution

1.       It is for animal use, so never use it for human.

2.       Consult with your veterinarian.

3.       Use after reading the instruction notes sufficiently

4.       Since safety and effectiveness other than the designated animal has not been established, do not use it

Arbitrarily.

5.       Record all usage history for prevention of abuse and tolerance appearance.

6.       Abuse and misuse may bring about economic loss such as drug accidents and remaining animal food

residues, observe the dosage & administration.

7.       Do not administer with drugs containing the same ingredients concurrently.

8.       If you are not in compliance with Withdrawal period, that may bring about remaining drugs in animal foods, so accurately calculate and comply with withdrawal period after calculation time.

9.       Wear gloves, masks, protective equipment during handling to avoid skin contact and inhalation.

10.    Consult with doctor as soon as abnormality is found.
